=======================================

WOAH I'm flattered about the DD! Thanks so much!!! :)

=======================================

Hi there!
This is my version of realistic looking replica of the famous Majora's Mask, known from the same named Zelda title released for the N64, back in 2000.
Please feel free to check out the worklog on my Facebook-page.

The mask should be an (nearly exact) copy of an existing 3D modell, done by 3D-Artist Cordell Felix.

If there are any questions please feel free to contact me via DA and/or Facebook

Cheers,
Mario

Majora's Mask - Wooden Replica by ~supermaRiio is an exquisitely detailed replica. It's very realistic, yet it stays faithful to the original. ( Suggested by Purrdemonium and Featured by cakecrumbs )

:)

I wouldn't consider myself professional at all, I just put like you said all my love, skill and effort in every single piece I craft.
This very mask is without any doubt the best thing I came up with throughout the years. Plus the fact that it gained so much attention all around the world makes it even more special to me.

(also I found my future wife through this mask) ;)

Looks pretty professional to me!
, yeah, that's all you need to make something gorgeous
and it's great that you found so much attention ( and your future wife)
through making something not many people can replicate.

I'm just going to obsessively stare at this gorgeous thing for a while, don't mind me

That's a shame. I wish someone would sell these I've seen almost no sellers online, and the one I did see cost $300

300€ is quite much for most of the replica's I've seen since they're just about 2mm thick and made from resin.

You're welcome. :D
You have all reason to be proud of this mask. If you went into business selling masks like this one, I bet all Zelda fans (which is many) would want to buy one.

How long did it take you to make this beauty? :)

Yeah... the thought of reproducing this mask has always been in my head.
Considering it would take a massive amount of time which I don't have I had to let go from it. Maybe in the future... :)

Around 3 months...

That would be cool. :)
It must've taken alot of time and hard work to make the awesome Majora's Mask.
What would you say if a guy who collected masks came by with a creepy smile, asking if you had ths mask in real? :D

Yeah it was quite a task to have the heart shaped base carved perfectly symmetrical. That was the hardest thing to achieve in the whole process.
The rest was a walk in the park compared to it.

Hahahaha that would be so awesome :'D

You did a great job. :)
I wish I had skills like that. :P The cursed Majora's Mask is now made! Look out for the Moon! Heh heh, just kidding. :p

I kinda like the Happy Mask Salesman too. :) Before, I didn't like him, thinking he was creepy, mean (when he's angry), and I didn't like the smile he always had, no matter if he was happy or angry. Still, I think he's an awesome character now.

The kind of wood I used is basswood/limewood, whatever word you know :)

Really? It's actually made of wood? That's even more incredible. Definitely a piece of art you should be massively proud of! I want to make a majora mask out of clay but can't even figure out how/where to start. :'( :P

That's why it's called "Wooden Replica" in the title! :D
I really am proud of it, thanks a lot! There are so many tutorials on the internet regarding the work with clay.
Also I found a bunch on how to start making a mask like this from scratch.

Really? :S All I found was someone who made on solid out of clay and then used silicone and stuff over it. I guess I must get better att googling :P

Duuuuuuuuuuuude, how did you make them? From clay?
That King Zora is simply incredible, also the paintjob is spot on!
I wanted to give this kind of sculpting a try but hadn't really a idea what I could start with.

Congrats on those fantastic figures, really envy you for your talent!

Cheers from Austria! :)

Thank you friend! Yes, clay, polymer clay, metal, PVC, resin, acrylic paint, etc. :) You can start with polymer clay (Super Sculpey), this it's harden in the oven. On the other hand, you can start also with air-hardened clay (Sio 2 Plus).

You have nothing to envy, your work is really clear and amazing!

Hugs! ;)
